MICHAEL HENRY

For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about stories and storytelling. I'm drawn to pieces of art and entertainment that spark my imagination and transport me to another world. My love of stories led me to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Electronic Media from American University. Graduate school gave me the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of filmmaking and realize my particular affinity for screenwriting.

 

For me, writing is the part of the filmmaking process that feels closest to the heart of storytelling. As a writer, I enjoy crafting character driven stories that balance relatable human drama with fun and levity. I also aspire to create imaginative worlds such as those featured in the science fiction, fantasy, and action adventure stories that have been a big part of shaping my love for stories throughout my life.

 

Having recently completed my graduate degree, I'm excited to be relocating to the Los Angeles area so that I can take the next step in my career. I look forward to the opportunity to channel my passion and grow as a storyteller through working in the film industry.
