The LA Intensive 2019

Amanda Luthy is a narrative screenwriter who will receive her BA from American University in May 2019, with a major in Film and Media Arts and a minor in Literature: Cinema Studies.

 

She is currently in pre-production on her second short film, Viper Jones, where she serves as screenwriter, director, and co-producer. A common thread throughout Amanda’s craft is providing a platform to persons rendered voiceless in order to evoke conversation and employ social change.

 

Beyond screenwriting, Amanda is heavily involved in film festival programming, serving as a festival director for the 2019 Discover the World of Communication Film Festival and the head festival director of AU Scholar’s 2019 Foreign Short Films Festival.
